POSITION SUMMARY:
Working closely with the USA Technical Services Manager, as an integral part of Sampled’s USA Technical Engineering Team, the primary remit of the Snr. Technical Services Engineer is to provide Validation, Service and support for Sampled biorepository freezers and storage equipment internally.
The role requires daily interaction with colleagues and Sampled stakeholders regarding the on-going status and availability of storage equipment.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Ensure internal equipment is validated, serviced and maintained within regulations and kept operational at all times. Primarily support will be provided for equipment at the Company’s facilities at 30 Knightsbridge, Piscataway, New Jersey, with occasional support required for other sites locally.
Follow Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s), and ensure all work is completed safely, in a timely manner and in accordance with Good Manufacturing Practice standards (GMP).
Validation, Calibration and Service requirements:
- Cryogenic freezers
- Freezers
- Fridges
- Stability chambers
- Incubators
- Warehouse and lab ambient maps
Develop positive relationships with internal stakeholders, applying depth of knowledge, and establishing self as the go-to person for day-to-day support. Communicate opportunities for improvement to Technical Services Manager.
Be an effective team member, delivering quality customer service and ensuring issues are effectively resolved in a timely manner.
Able to mentor and train team members as required.

Travel to other Sampled sites in the USA may be required.
Out of hours on-call work will be required.
Perform related responsibilities as needed.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
- (3 to 5+) years of relevant experience in a Technical Discipline preferably in a regulated environment such as: Pharmaceuticals, Biobanking, or Laboratory Services.
- Experience of working and maintaining cold storage preferred.
- Experience with calibration and/or validation principles.
- Able to diagnose, troubleshoot, and maintain electrical, mechanical and HVAC equipment.
- Experienced in following Standard Operating Procedures (SOP’s) and meeting Regulatory requirements.
- Familiarity of GMP (Good Manufacturing Practice).
- Experience of a strong Health & Safety and Quality culture.
- Proven ability to deliver quality customer service and ensure issues are effectively resolved in a timely manner.
- Excellent communication skills, written and verbal.
- Able to deliver training to / mentor team members.
- Self-motivated and able to work well as part of a small team.
- Able to maintain and grow relationships with internal clients.
- Strong organizational skills, with flexibility to respond changing priorities. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities.
- Able to work independently, driven to deliver results.
- Travel within the USA and abroad may be required on an infrequent basis.
- Applies a continuous improvement approach, to achieve business excellence and support clients.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications.
