SUMMARY
To wait on and serve food to restaurant patrons in a friendly, professional and efficient manner.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. - Presents menu, answers questions and makes suggestions regarding food and service.
- Writes order on check or memorizes it
- Relays and/or enters order into POS system for the kitchen and serves courses from kitchen and/or bar
- Observes guest to fulfill any additional requests and to perceive when meal has been completed
- May ladle soup, toss salad, portion desserts, brew coffee, and perform other services as determined by needs of the restaurant
- Clear and reset counters and tables at conclusion of each patron
- May have to clean dishes
- Clean restaurant area
- Maintains a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers.
- Adheres to all safety and brand standards.
- Responds to guest requests and complaints timely, efficiently, appropriately and in a friendly manner.
- Maintains professional image at all times through appearance and dress.
- Follows Company policies and procedures.
- Operates in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws including OSHA, EEOC, wage and hour, and health code laws.
- Other duties as assigned by supervisor or management.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, and ABILITIES
- Knowledge of food service regulations.
- Strong customer service and interpersonal communications skills required
- Able to maintain positive client relationships.
- Able to easily and quickly lift and carry heavy trays.
- Speak, read, write, and comprehend the English language, proficiently. Ability to speak other languages in a multicultural work environment can be extremely helpful in facilitating good communication among all hotel team members.
- Able to utilize quick thinking and apply quick resolution to guest issues in accordance to the brand standards.
- Excellent conflict-resolution skills.
- Able to work in fast paced environment.
- Able to prioritize, organize, and manage multiple tasks.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $11.00 - $13.00 per hour
