The Beer Spa is seeking Server & Spa Attendant (aka ‘Beer Therapists’) with a passion for customer service and hospitality to join our new day spa/craft beer bar in Denver’s RiNo neighborhood. What is The Beer Spa? We are a one-of-a-kind wellness experience that combines a day spa and a craft beer taproom into one. Our 4,000SF facility includes a self-pour taproom, featuring local beer, wine, and cider. After relaxing in our taproom, guests are guided to their private Beer Therapy Room where they will complete a Beer Therapy spa circuit - rotating between the infrared sauna, rain shower, and beer bath – all with a cold drink in hand.

In addition to our Beer Therapy Rooms, we offer 15 or 30-minute sessions in our Zero Gravity Massage Chairs. These high-tech chairs offer all the relaxation of a traditional massage, without the human-to-human interaction.

The Beer Spa is open seven days a week, from 8:00am to 10:30pm. Since our grand opening, we have been fully booked, with our Beer Therapy Rooms booking out 4 to 6 weeks in advance. With 15% repeat customers and a large social media following, we have been nominated as Denver’s Top Day Spa and Top New Bar. We were also featured in Time Magazine’s 100 Greatest Places in the World!

YOUR ROLE & RESPONSABILITIES

As a Server & Spa Attendant, you will be responsible for guiding guests through their end-to-end spa experience. This includes checking guests in upon arrival, escorting guests to their spa suites, assisting guests with pouring beverages in the taproom, and checking guests out when they leave. As the face of our business, you will be responsible for creating a positive, upbeat atmosphere, while making sure our guests have an unforgettable experience. Your day-to-day responsibilities include:

• Welcoming and acknowledging guests with a verbal greeting, using the guest's name when possible, and a polite farewell upon guest’s departure
• Checking ID’s to ensure guests are of legal drinking age
• Leveraging knowledge of local, craft beer to suggest alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverage options
• Actively listening and responding positively to guest’s questions, concerns, and requests
• Building rapport with guests throughout their experience in a fun, yet professional manner
• Anticipating guest’s needs and proactively acting on them wherever possible
• Answering questions about general facility information, spa amenities, and therapy benefits
• Providing general spa orientation to guests upon arrival, including the use of the beer wall, the location of the restrooms, and proper safety guidelines
• Monitoring and ensuring guests adherence to a strict daily appointment schedule
• Following all company policies to ensure a clean, safe, and secure environment, in addition to maintaining client confidentiality
• Folding and restocking linens, replenishing retail shelves, and restocking beverage refrigerators
• Educating customers on the therapeutic benefits of hops, barley, and medicinal herbs
• Assisting housekeepers in cleaning and prepping the spa suites, including removal of used linens
• Ensuring sidework is completed in a timely manner, including laundry and glassware cleaning
• Answering phone calls and emails in a friendly and professional manner
• Skillfully navigating our online booking system, Acuity, to book and modify guest reservations
• Processing transactions using Square POS
• Providing assistance to individuals with disabilities, including visual, hearing, and physical impairments

YOUR QUALIFICATIONS

• 2+ years of experience working in a guest-facing role in a full-service restaurant, day spa, or boutique hotel (experience in fine dining or an upscale environment is preferred
• Upbeat, enthusiastic, and personable demeanor
• Possesses a strong work ethic, respect for timeliness, and polished professionalism
• Detail-oriented alongside the ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment
• Must possess valid U.S. work authorization
• Full COVID-19 vaccination required
• Must be available to work 40 hours (five x 8 hour shifts) per week
• We do not have any requirements for formal education or training – we are just looking for someone with a positive attitude and the aptitude to learn!

As part of your training, we will pay for you to receive your ServSafe Alcohol certification so you can help ensure our establishment is serving alcohol in a responsible manner.

COMPENSATION & BENEFITS

Pay: All employees earn a base hourly wage, plus tips, which averages out to $25-$35/hr. We pay on a weekly basis!

Benefits: All full-time employees are eligible for health insurance, dental insurance, and vision insurance, in addition to Paid Time Off (PTO)! We host quarterly employee appreciation events, ranging from bowling to catered dinners. Each year, all employees receive a Complimentary Beer Therapy Experience for two, in addition to a 20% discount on retail products and spa services.
