In this position, you will provide technical support for utilizing the related products in Robotics & Discrete Automation, Service & Digital Platform in Auburn Hills, Michigan delivering superior, professional service, remotely or on-site.

This position reports to

Technical Support Manager

Your responsibilities

  • Provide technical phone support for costumers
  • On call position to perform emergency repairs of ABB Robotic system equipment in the field
  • Provide system integration support of ABB robots to designated build shops as well as the end users
  • Provide robot specific or systems training in an informal environment to customers as required
  • Ability to communicate with customers (external and internal) in high pressure situations and maintain strong customer relationships
  • Capable of traveling on short notice and handle rigors of air travel
  • Identify and help order parts as deemed necessary through troubleshooting
  • Enter and maintain service call information, including dates and times of service calls (which populate the dispatch board and technical support records)
  • potential to travel anywhere between 50-60% of the calendar year.

Your background

  • High School Diploma or GED and 8 years of Technical or Field Service Support Experience; OR Associates degree and 5 years of Technical or Field Service Support Experience; OR Bachelor’s degree and 3 years of Technical or Field Service Support Experience.

  • Candidates must already have a work authorization that would permit them to work for ABB in the US
