SUMMARY OF ROLE:

A Shop Helper / Parts Runner will be a general helper to the Fleet Manager. You will pick up parts or materials from vendors and deliver to job site locations or bring them back to our warehouse. A Shop Helper / Parts Runner will also be expected to help with the maintenance of the property and fleet vehicles. You will also assist in the inventory of our mechanic stock items and notify the manager if items need to be ordered.

DAILY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assist Fleet Manager with oil changes and general maintenance of fleet vehicles
• Help wash vehicles on assigned days
• Assist with the maintenance of the property, for example: throwing away and picking up trash, mowing, break down of recyclable materials, etc.
  
• Operate a riding mower or use a weed eater for a few hours at a time (could require all day) on days that require mowing, even when it super-hot out
• Make parts runs to pick up materials and/or parts from vendors to be delivered to technicians in the field or back to the warehouse

QUALIFICATIONS:

• High School Diploma/GED equivalent required
• Ability to meet medium level physical exertion requirements, including lifting to 50 pounds frequently
• Ability to follow oral and/or written instructions
• You are someone who is reliable, punctual, and safety-minded, with a strong work ethic
• You must also work well as part of a team and be willing to work long hours when necessary
• It is also important that you display a positive, helpful demeanor, and a commitment to providing the best in customer service
• Should not have any lifting restrictions and must not be afraid of heights
• Should be able to tolerate high and low-temperature levels and occasional inclement driving conditions
• Is honest with yourself and others about your skills and capabilities

• Passing of a drug screen and background check, will also need a clean driving record

SCHEDULE:

• 7:00a-3:30p (or until jobs for the day are completed)
• Monday-Friday

SALARY:

• $15 hourly
