The Doubletree by Hilton Nanuet, NY, Rockland County is hiring part-time skilled maintenance workers, to keep our five-star hotel in excellent condition and repair. We now have evening shifts available starting around 4:00 PM to 10:00 PM on weekdays and weekends. The evening maintenance mechanic will support the front desk by responding to and resolving room condition issues reported by our valued guests and also be required to complete scheduled maintenance on many of our equipment and systems as well as small repair, refinish, or renovation projects as assigned by the Executive Housekeeper.

The evening skilled maintenance person serves primarily to support the front desk and quickly respond to guest complaints about their room condition. When not responding to guest complaints the evening maintenance mechanic performs other work including routine and scheduled maintenance on our many systems and equipment. The evening maintenance mechanic must provide excellent customer service to all our valued guests including luggage portage, delivery and set up of cribs, rollaway beds, extra furniture and bedding, and delivery of packages and room supplies.

You must have demonstrable skills in painting, minor electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and furniture repairs and be willing to be trained to maintain, repair, and reset our specialty electronic/video/temperature control systems. You must be able to work independently in an organized, efficient, and effective manner to complete all assigned duties as expected.

This position requires flexibility, frequent bending, stooping, lifting, and carrying of bulky or heavy (up to 50 lbs.)
