Social Services Coordinator – ROSS Grant
The Housing Authority of the City of Camden (HACC) is seeking a Full-Time Social Services Coordinator.
Under the supervision of the Director of Resident Initiatives, the Resident Opportunities and Self Sufficiency (ROSS) Social Service Coordinator is responsible for providing social, education and outreach services within the scope of a given project in order to meet program requirements. The position requires strong interpersonal skills to make connections and build relationships with the target patient/client base. The Social Service Coordinator works collaboratively with other departments within the Housing Authority of the City of Camden (HACC) as well as other community-based agencies with the purpose making the critical linkages to health information and services for community members. As an advocate for the residents the Social Service Coordinator also works to educate the general public on services available and eligibility requirements. The Social Service Coordinator is involved in direct recruitment of participants for their specific project, monitoring their progress through the program and reporting to the Director of Social Services and funding sources on program outcomes.
Hourly range $18.50 - $19.50 per hour.
Successful candidates will be subject to satisfactory drug and criminal background screenings before hiring.

Required Qualifications and Education: The minimum educational qualification required to be a Social Service Coordinator is an Associate’s Degree from a recognized college or university in Social Work, Sociology, Psychology or other relevant field preferred or an equivalent combination of education and experience that provides knowledge of Social Work, Case Management, Theory and Practice Models with ability to analyze cases, understand clients, create interventions, predict intervention results and evaluate outcomes. A minimum of five (5) years of work experience as a case manager, service connector, or other relevant direct practice with low-income households, experience with services that provides assessments, referrals and follow-up of individuals or any acceptable combination of experience and training. Appropriate experience may be substituted for college on a year for year basis. Appointees will be required to possess a driver’s license valid in New Jersey only if the operation of a vehicle, rather than employee mobility, is necessary to perform essential duties of the position. Bilingual preferred.
