Position Summary:

As our Site Surveyor, you will perform site auditing services to obtain and communicate technical data to our Construction Review team for the preparation and design of residential solar systems, as well as provide permit ready documents needed to facilitate the installation of solar systems.

Job Duties & Responsibilities:

• Travel to project sites to obtain necessary information to complete technical design documents for a solar system
• Create detailed rooftop map layout for solar arrays including roof layout dimensions and all roof penetrations (pipes, vents etc.)
• Communicate with customers and establish rapport to gather facilities assessment data as needed
• Conduct a physical site audit using auditing tools including a tablet/phone with apps, measuring devices, and other related equipment
• Upload site audit documents as needed to coordinate with the design/engineering department to produce permit-ready documents
• Follow Freedom Forever Standard Operating Procedures for Site Audit to ensure a smooth handoff between departments
• Develop relationships with sales team, design professionals and subcontractors to support the business activities
• Gather detailed structural data on different types of buildings
• Identifies issues on homes that may interfere with installations
• Gather all electrical data required by the company
• Perform other duties as assigned

Qualification Requirements:

• A minimum of three years' experience in a discipline related to construction
• Site Audit experience is a plus
• Solar installation experience is preferred
• High School, GED or Trade School degree in a discipline related to construction or building sciences, engineering or architecture required
• Ability to understand, read, and comprehend contract documents and plans
• Strong written and verbal communication skills required in order to prepare site audit documents, and conduct site audit meetings with customers
• Must be physically able to work on roofs and in attics, and lift 50+ pounds on occasion
• Willingness to follow all established company safety procedures
• A valid state driver's license and clean driving record is required
• Must be available to work schedules that can involve Mondays – Saturdays, and able to travel to different offices if needed
