Job Overview:
The Rework Assembly Inspector will be responsible for performing dimensional and electrical inspections of raw materials, assemblies, and final assemblies.
Must be able to read ECO's, manufacturing assembly drawings, diagrams, wire cards, and lists in approving or rejecting in-process or final assemblies.
Working closely with production, repair, and engineering team for any rework request.
The contract Rework Inspector will ensure that procedures, assembly instructions and drawings are up to date per release changes in the system and to improve quality and inspection processes.

- Ability to read schematics, rework assembly instructions and drawings
- Must be able to work on-site 5 days per week in Calabasas, CA
- Basic knowledge of electro-mechanical and printed circuit board assemblies
- Computer skills: Understanding of generally used computer terms. Ability to read and respond to e-mails effectively using Outlook. Windows based programs experience (Word, Excel PowerPoint, Access etc.)

The contract Rework Inspector will ensure that procedures, assembly instructions and drawings are up to date per release changes in the system and to improve quality and inspection processes.
- Perform incoming and in-process inspection on raw material and assemblies.
- Provide final verification and quality checks on outgoing completed assemblies, configured sales order and any parts request from vendors.
- Review rejected material and work with manufacturing engineering on the appropriate disposition.
- Contact internal suppliers, purchasing department for any parts request.
- Report any encountered quality issues to Production Manager.
- Work to continually improve quality levels in both suppliers and in-house processes
- Maintain inspection log reports and quality records.
- Perform accessory kits assemblies such as cable kits, manuals and other materials needed in production.
- Maintain document supplies and monitor current release revision based on system changes.
- Work with manufacturing engineers to ensure that procedures and drawings are accurate and up to date
- Work with manufacturing engineers and technicians to improve quality and inspection process
- Be able to work overtime as needed to support company revenue.
- Open to additional job responsibilities as needed

Job Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent and a minimum of 2 years of related experience
- Ability to read schematics, rework assembly instructions and drawings
- Basic knowledge of electro-mechanical and printed circuit board assemblies
- Computer skills: Understanding of generally used computer terms. Ability to read and respond to e-mails effectively using Outlook. Windows based programs experience (Word, Excel PowerPoint, Access etc.). Knowledge of JDE Enterprise One and Agile software are a plus.
- Physical Demands: The employee is occasionally required to sit. The employee must be able to handle moving/lifting heavy products up to 50 lbs. and work with co-workers to lift equipment exceeding 50 lbs.
- Work Environment: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.
- Soldering skills is required and basic knowledge of BGA rework machines.
