Overview:
The Sourcing Manager will analyze and direct the costs and expenditures that meet business requirements and enhance profitability by optimizing supply chain efficiencies. This role will create cost estimates and forecasts for procurement and negotiate reasonable cost-effective contracts. The ideal candidate will be able to maintain strategic vendor relationships, develop strong partnerships, and drive decisions based on analysis, market trends, and cost negotiations with key suppliers.

In this position you will have the opportunity to::
  • Define, develop, negotiate, and contract strategic sourcing solutions that enhance profitability by controlling/ reducing costs, improving payments terms, reducing inventory, and optimizing supply chain efficiencies.
  • Ensures decision making processes are supported by technical and functional knowledge of analytical methods that encompass people, systems, and financial measures.
  • Develop and administer vendor strategies and inventory, establish rules and methods to assess existing supplier performance, and new criteria for new partners. Monitor vendor list and change strategy as needed to ensure more efficient and effective sourcing.
  • Execute analysis and make suggestions for improvement to the overall strategy. Drive process improvement and change management to implement improvements.
  • Administer contracts and provide interpretation and analysis of contract documents. Review and evaluate customer requests for changes/ revisions to contract that would involve cost or schedule impact to the company.
  • Perform and conduct monthly forecasting reports to ensure acceptable inventory levels are maintained.
  • Provide leadership and support for all procurement activities, to include manage specifications, samples, quality, delivery, and payment and audit supply chain compliance with contract terms.
  • Build, develop, and maintain strong partnerships with internal departments and external suppliers.
  • Organize and lead effective meetings with stakeholders, communicate vision and strategy, mitigate risk, and ensure alignment with senior leadership.
Required Education & Experience::
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, economics, finance, or a related field
  • Four (4) years procurement experience in a related industry
  • Superb leadership and communication skills
  • Advanced ability to negotiate and collaborate
  • Exceptional analytical and strategic thinking abilities
  • Comfortable working with figures and in collecting, analyzing, and interpreting data
The successful candidate will possess the following::
  • Master’s degree in business or specialization in advanced procurement management preferred
  • Previous work experience as Sourcing or Procurement Manager preferred
  • Understanding of market dynamics along with the familiarity with sourcing and vendor management and relevant software (example: NetSuite) helpful
  • Strong project management and leadership skills
Salary:
$74K - $91K, DOE
