The Tyson Law Firm in Oak Cliff is seeking a Spanish speaking customer service rep/legal assistant. We specialize in Personal injury and Criminal Defense cases. We are looking for a patient, friendly, detail oriented front desk person to be the face of our firm. You must be a good communicator in person, over the phone, and in your writing. All client and court interaction will come through you first. We need a service oriented person to assist the clients and attorneys. We want someone who will treat our clients with care and concern as if they were taking care of a family member or a loved ones' case. Must be a team player.

Position requirements include:

Must be proficient in Microsoft Office

Must be able to consistently be at the office from 8:30 am to 5:30 pm.

Must be able to perform all general tasks on a daily basis.

Preferences:

Bilingual required. (Spanish and English)

General Duties would include, but not be limited to:

Answering the phones and accurately take and transmit messages and caller contact info. Encourage potential clients to hire the firm/make an appointment.

Greet clients and sign up/interview new clients.

Look up case information online and via phone.

File motions etc online.

Calendar hearings, deadlines and other relevant dates, on paper calendar and online.

Collect payments.

Make, organize, and maintain client folders.

Upkeep firm information/excel sheets etc.

Mail out documents.

Run miscellaneous errands.

Keep office/work area clean.

Draft correspondence as needed- pleadings, discovery requests, motions, notices and subpoenas; etc.

Intake new clients-go over paperwork and make sure it is filled out completely and accurately.

Desired Skills

The successful candidate must be highly organized and pay close attention to detail, and possess strong communication skills (oral and written).

Regular and punctual attendance is an essential function of the job.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $40,000.00 - $45,000.00 per year
