POSITION TITLE: Speech-Language Pathologist; Strong CF candidate will be considered

REPORTS TO: Director of Clinical Operations

FLSA STATUS: Exempt

DESCRIPTION: Utilizing professionalism, leadership, advocacy, and collaboration, this center-based Speech-Language Pathologist will provide prevention, assessment, and remediation services for individuals who exhibit difficulties in the areas of communication: language, speech, pragmatics, feeding, voice, and fluency with a diagnosis of autism spectrum disorder. Empower provides programs to support people with autism and other disabilities from early childhood through transition age, early learning, academic, life and vocational skills.

All required licenses and certificates must be maintained as a condition of continued employment.

ORGANIZATIONAL LEVEL: Senior Staff

EDUCATION REQUIRED: Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and one year experience required. Strong CF candidate will be considered.

CREDENTIALS REQUIRED: Speech-Language Pathology license, Certificate of Clinical Competence

PRODUCTIVITY REQUIREMENT: 1,200 hours per fiscal year, prorated based on start date position schedule

PHYSICAL EFFORT AND WORK ENVIRONMENT
Physical Requirements: The physical requirements of the position are identified as moderate physical activity which may require the lifting of up to twenty (20) pounds occasionally and fifteen (15) pounds frequently.

Physical Activity: Individual performs the following physical activities: manual dexterity, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing and moving around.

Visual Activity: Individual performs work where objects being viewed and interactions with others are both close to the eyes and beyond arms reach.

Job Location: Individual primarily works inside and is not exposed to adverse environmental conditions.

Contact with Others: Individual has contact with co-workers, employees, clients, and other stakeholders.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $58,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
