This role is an integral part of the Network Planning team. The Network Planning team drives the strategy of the airline; therefore, this position requires problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate clearly across multiple departments and management levels. The Sr. Analyst, Future Schedules works directly with the Future Capacity Planning team to build future lines of flying; creating new schedule scenarios in an efficient way to strike a balance between commercial and operational needs.
This position will require interfacing with internal departments including the executive team, as well as external partners across the whole commercial aviation spectrum. As this position has a broad range of responsibilities, we are looking for a candidate who can handle multiple issues at once and resolve them in a timely manner while under pressure.
- Develops the Spirit Airlines schedule in a way that drives solid commercial results while meeting the operational needs to run an on-time airline.
- Creates what-if schedule scenarios for new ideas and ways to improve the current schedule.
- Build and maintains far-out schedules working hand-in-hand with the Future Capacity Planning team.
- Assists and coordinates with government authorities on revising aircraft schedules.
- Assists with both internal and external schedule distribution
- Recommends a future schedule to be handed off to the current scheduling team
- Maintains multiple scheduling softwares as needed for schedule optimization and creation.
- Monitors changing environments at airports which may impact future scheduled operations.
- May perform other responsibilities as assigned. Responsibilities and duties may change when circumstances dictate (e.g., emergencies change in workload, rush jobs, or technical developments).
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience (Economics, Business Administration, Aviation, or related field).
- 3-5 years of experience.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office suite of tools (e.g., PowerPoint, Excel, Word, Access).
- Capable of developing high quality, professional PowerPoint presentations to display data and tell a story in a clear and concise manner.
- Schedule software knowledge such as Sabre, Schedule Manager, OASIS, Lufthansa Netline and GDS/PSS systems such as Sabre, Navitaire or Amadeus is desirable.
- Must have excellent knowledge of the commercial aviation world especially when it comes to competitive dynamics and relevant current events.
- Knowledge of the airline networks, fleets, government policy related to aviation and general airport operations is essential.
- Working under pressure with tight deadlines that are both commercial as well as contractual is an integral part of this role therefore, an organized multi-tasker that can prioritize solving problems will succeed in this role.

- Domestic & International travel under 10% of time.
- Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently or constantly to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects, including the human body. involves sitting most of the time but may involve walking or standing for brief periods of time.
- Must be present at the Worksite 100% of the time.
