This position is responsible for the Business transformation office Manufacturing and Logistics applications, development, and project management with support activities.
The person is expected to provide functional leadership for delivering on IT projects including strategic and transformational initiatives for multiple business units globally.
Job Responsibilities:
  • Partner with business groups, program leadership and project teams to deliver SAP WM/EWM, LE and TM projects across multiple business units.
  • Work collaboratively with Program Leadership to develop business process design and roadmap/strategy in the SAP WM/EWM, TM and LE space , aligned with business goals.
  • The person will lead business sessions to define high-level business goals/vision, extract business requirements and software selection, define performance indicators, and architect the solution on various IT platforms.
  • Provide project management and solution expertise in SAP WM/EWM, LE and TM modules with extensive knowledge of the integration aspects of different business processes with SAP SD, FI & PS areas.
  • Develop operating procedures, training materials, test scripts and test cases in the WM/EWM/LE/TM area.
  • Work closely with business and IT to provide support and continuous improvements for applications already in production and used extensively for day-to-day operations. The primary focus will be on processes and applications in the Logistics Execution and Transportation management space.
  • Adhere to Varian’s process in managing the changes through the SAP landscape.
Minimum skills and required knowledge:
  • Demonstrated ability to drive projects. Experience with project management and systems implementation methodologies.
  • Experience in Logistics Execution and/or Transportation Management. Good to have experience in SAP e-WM.
  • Good knowledge and experience in SAP LE/WM/TM module configuration in SAP S4, knowledge of SAP e-WM and integrations with other modules such as SD, MM.
  • Strong executive presence and ability to interact with senior management.
  • Ability to articulate and present different points-of-views on various technologies and communicate effectively with all levels in the organization.
  • Proficient in utilizing business tools such as: E-mail, Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. Experience with HCM (e.g., Workday) or equivalent ERP product and productivity software desired.
  • Typical Education and Experience: Bachelors degree (or equivalent experience) and 8 years of related experience or Masters Degree with 6 years of related experience.
