Job Summary:

• The Sr. IT Specialist will be our frontline IT Support. This role will require excellent interpersonal communication skills to go along with strong technical knowledge. This position will be providing in office support to our San Jose Facility and will be expected to be on-site during the work week.

Essential Job Functions (include but are not limited to):

• Ensures all laptops, workstations, servers, and related equipment problems are resolved in a timely manner with limited disruptions.
• Responsible for the maintenance, configuration, and reliable operation of computer systems, network applications, and virtualization to ensure IT services are running according to business needs.
• Creates and maintains documentation as it relates to user guidance, system configurations, mapping, processes, and service records.
• Performs or delegates regular backup operations and implements appropriate processes for data protection, disaster recovery, and failover procedures.
• Collaborates with headquarters’ IT team and service providers to perform projects under global infrastructure.
• Assist with the implementation of security compliance goals defined as part of organization's strategy.

Job Requirements:

• Associate or Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, System Administration, or a closely related field, or equivalent experience required.
• 5+ years of network administration, or system administration experience.
• Working knowledge of virtualization including VMWare and Microsoft Azure.
• Ability to work together with global employees across different time zones during off-hours.

Physical Demands and Work Environment:

• While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently required to sit; regularly use hands to handle, or feel objects, tools, or controls; talk and hear; and doing things such as analytical work or reports, which requires focus, while utilizing a computer.
• Must be able to operate general office equipment.
• Physical stamina to stand, reach, bend, lift, grasp, and kneel.
• The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 pounds.
• Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and ability to adjust focus.
• The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate.
• Occasional travel may be needed.

Our base pay range for this position is expected to be between $85,000 and $110,000 a year. Multiple factors are considered in determining base pay including an individual’s skills, qualifications, experience, and geographic location.
