In this role, you will participate in the total patient care in the Westlake Village/Oncology clinic, working with faculty physicians, fellows, residents, medical students, nursing staff, patient services staff and ancillary personnel. You will act as supervisor of the medical assistant and LVN team coordinating the activities of all staff supporting the clinic area thereby ensuring high standards of care and patient satisfaction.

Salary range: $24.00-$45.00 Hourly

Required:

• Possess license issued by the State of CA Board of Vocational Nurse Examiners
• Possession of BLS from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross
• Possession of Phlebotomy and IV certification
• Knowledge of all instruments and supplies to perform physical examinations and/or procedures
• Ability to take vitals signs, administer medications and obtain drug refills as needed
• Ability to perform CPR
• Knowledge of symptomatology of common and or life threatening medical problems
• Ability to perform venipuncture with skill, adhering to all OSHA PPE safety requirements
• Ability to assist in medical emergencies and office procedures
• Ability to skillfully administer oral, IM and subcutaneous medications
• Excellent interpersonal skills in maintaining a cooperative working environment with the physicians, staff, and all health providers
• Ability to follow proper channels of policies and procedures, communication and work standards
• Ability to assist in orientation of new staff
• Keyboard literacy skills to access and input data in computerized patient care systems
• Demonstrated ability to be punctual and maintain good attendance
• Skill and knowledge to submit quality work in a timely manner
• Ability to push, pull or carry up to 30 lbs
