This marketing leader is responsible for setting the brand PR strategy and executing that strategy with excellence for Campbell Snacks’ portfolio of brands, including Goldfish, Snyder’s of Hanover, Milano, Cape Cod, Pepperidge Farm, Kettle, Late July, and Pretzel Crisps. In this role, you will own the entirety of our brand PR strategy, including developing and executing an “always on” communications plan, building breakthrough earned extensions to brand activations, and protecting our brand and corporate reputation to ultimately drive sales and increase brand equity with our consumers. You will work closely with our agencies and internal teams to build and execute the plan, and you will manage a small team of PR experts.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop PR Strategy. Develop holistic PR strategy for all Campbell Snacks brands, inclusive of “always on” communications and earned amplification of brand activations, that delivers brand and business objectives.
  • Drive Results. Execute plans that drive measurable results in line with brand objectives.
  • Measurement. Develop and monitor PR KPIs, and report on results to leadership monthly. Develop measurement dashboard that demonstrates clear ROI for all PR activities that can be seamlessly integrated with other marketing channel analysis.
  • Messaging. Develop effective messaging for press releases, media inquiries, partner communications, etc.
  • Media Monitoring. Oversee media monitoring, including providing daily and event or situation-based coverage reports and develop analysis of coverage to show brand and business impact.
  • Media Relationships. Develop relationships with key media partners and manage media inquiries.
  • Agency Management. Oversee and manage agency teams to design and implement effective and impactful programs.
  • Crisis Management. In partnership with Corporate Communications, lead crisis management strategy, planning, and execution.
  • Team Management and Leadership. Lead a high-performance team of PR experts. Build a strong culture for the team, and drive individual and team development. Create and maintain an inclusive work environment.
QUALIFICATIONS:
  • 8+ years brand PR experience, ideally with both client-side and food/consumer packaged goods experience
  • History of developing PR strategy that drives measurable results. Proven track record managing traditional, digital and emerging communication channels.
  • Highly proactive with strong initiative.
  • Balance of strong strategic thinking and flawless execution, with impeccable attention to detail.
  • Strong creative intuition and ability to lead agencies to effective messaging.
  • Excellent written/verbal communications skills, including press releases, key messages, speeches and remarks, Q&A, etc.
  • Experience with influencer relationships across platforms with a point of view on best practices.
  • Experience building and leading an award-winning team and managing external agencies.
  • Experience in issues, crisis and change management preferred.
  • Must have prior experience interacting with media and proactively pitching stories.
  • Strong presentation and storytelling skills, including the ability to put together high-level professional decks.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Marketing, Public Relations, or a related discipline.

Compensation and Benefits:
The base salary range for this full-time, salaried position is between
$105,000.00 - $194,400.00
Individual base pay depends on work location and additional factors such as experience, job-related skills, and relevant education or training. Total pay may include other forms of compensation. In addition, we offer competitive health, dental, 401k and wellness benefits beginning on the first day of employment.
