Job Description

The Marketing Analyst will work closely with the CMO, marketing directors, and other business leaders across the organization in the research, development, implementation, and management of recurring and ad-hoc analysis and reporting supporting the strategic direction and goals of the marketing team.

The primary goal of the position is to support the Marketing Team in gauging the effectiveness of our marketing efforts in furthering the company's qualified lead generation, brand awareness, marketing channel efficiency, and providing recommendations on performance improvements. The position will also analyze prospect and competitor data to help identify areas of opportunity. The right candidate will have a positive attitude and a desire to learn in a fast-paced environment. The role requires a high level of organization and detail.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Support business objectives in making strategic data-related decisions by analyzing, managing, and reporting data
  • Design and execute complex analytics projects that involve data collection and analysis
  • Conduct ongoing, comprehensive reporting including current trends, projections
  • Partners with technical and non-technical resources across the business to leverage their support and integrate efforts to achieve business objectives
  • Use analytical tools and systems for delivering data, synthesizing analysis and developing key marketing and customer insights to meet business objectives
  • Proactively monitor interactive marketing campaigns, and market data to identify red flags, positive/negative trends, areas of opportunities, benchmarks, etc.
  • Excel Expertise Required, including familiarity with Pivot Tables and SQL: extract data from the CRM system to develop reports.
  • Examine a campaign's return on investment.
  • Identify new market opportunities through market research
  • Determine brand perceptions and reputations.
  • Evaluate market penetration.
  • Identify positive financial outcomes to increase profitability.
  • Evaluate demographics, prices, distribution channels, and marketing outlets.

Qualifications:

  • A bachelor's degree in business, mathematics or similar analytical area
  • 1-3 years of relevant analytical experience
  • Understanding of Google Analytics (advanced segments, filtering, customization reports)
  • Strong analytical skills; including the ability to analyze raw data, draw conclusions and summarize actionable recommendations and their forecasted outcomes
  • Experience developing technically-successful campaigns, workflows, and audience extracts using SQL
  • Capable of working with large amounts of data to support or refute a hypothesis
  • Ability to thrive in a highly quantitative, fast-paced environment with changing business needs
  • A high degree of initiative, personal responsibility, and ownership
  • Strong critical thinking with problem-solving abilities
  • Ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines; strong time management skills
  • Ability to foster relationships with cross-functional counterparts and key stakeholders at all levels of the organization
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Experience with Pivot Tables and other advanced Excel functions
  • Strong knowledge of statistics and related computer applications and financial and market indicators. Experience with MS Office (Word, PowerPoint, Excel) is required. Google and Microsoft certifications are a plus.
  • Possess a working knowledge of market research techniques and models.
  • Possess a solid foundation of database experience with knowledge of queries and importing/exporting data and be able to create statistical models of business data and member feedback with accuracy and clarity.
  • Possess excellent analytical skills and the ability to promote a team environment with exceptional communication and interpersonal skills.

  • Advanced Excel skills required
  • Strong statistical background and proven analytical skills required
  • Data mapping experience
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, Access, SQL is preferred
  • Strong communication and presentation skills
  • High level of attention to detail and organizational skills
  • Ability to work effectively as a team player in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong intellectual curiosity; must be able to think critically and strategically
