We are looking for a Product Manager to be part of our End User Computing Group and our team, focused on fast growing orchestration and automations platform, Workspace ONE Freestyle Orchestrator. Our mission is to empower individuals with varying levels of technical expertise with an easy to use orchestration and automation platform. A platform that will allow enterprises to integrate multiple products seamlessly to unlock value greater than the sum of its parts. The Product Management group is a dedicated team of sharp thinkers tasked with VMware’s most challenging and important growth initiatives.
Working closely with customers, global engineering & operations teams, sales & marketing teams, and executive leadership they leverage their technical, analytical, strategic, and process-oriented skillset towards executing high-impact, value-added opportunities.

Success in the Role: What are the performance outcomes over the first 6-12 months you will work toward completing?
You will be responsible for the launch of an upgraded Orchestration platform that is enterprise ready and build deep integrations with multiple 1st and 3rd party applications. You will extensively work with customers while also working cross functionally with Engineering, Marketing, Customer Success, and Solution Engineers to successfully identify market problems, define requirements for product enhancements that solve those market problems, prioritize features, and deliver the products that our customers need.
The Work: What type of work will you be doing? What assignments, requirements, or skills will you be performing on a regular basis?
- Collaborate with multiple internal and external product teams to understand their customers and use cases in order to define a backlog of end to end automations and identify opportunities for integrations
- Define operating principles for product teams to integrate with orchestration service
- Nurture community of internal and external SMEs to build a robust marketplace of automations
- Work with internal finance and sales team to build value realizer
- Conduct meetings with customers and sales engineers to identify customer pain points that can be translated into product requirements.
- Monitor and take measures to improve KPI for adoption, usage and quality.
- Define requirements and use cases for new feature development.
- Prioritize product features and backlog.
- Conduct market analysis and identify growth opportunities.
- Collaborate with engineers to remove impediments to feature development.
- Collaborate with Product Marketing for GTM and launch activities.
- Collaborate with designers to define the ideal user experience for a feature.

As a Product Manager, you will be working with other Product Managers within the Product management team and closely collaborating with engineering, release management, marketing, and other teams to define, guide, and drive value and success of the overall Workspace ONE portfolio.
Freestyle Orchestrator is a growing team with a variety of skills, knowledge, and backgrounds. The PM group is primarily in United States and the engineering counter parts in United States and Bulgaria. The team culture is one of continuous learning, collaboration, and respect. Where is this role located?
Flexible: The role is considered flexible and will be a mix of working from a local VMware office and remote depending on your preferences and the arrangements determined with your future manager. You will be expected to live within a reasonable commute of the office.

For US based candidates, the annual pay range (OTE for commissioned roles; Salary for other roles) for this position is: $156,000 - $373,000. The actual offer will be based on the role, location, and individual candidate experience. Bonus, commission, and/or equity may be eligible for this position. VMware offers comprehensive benefits including, but not limited to: medical, dental, and vision plans, company paid holidays, paid sick leave, and vacation time.
