About the role:
The Senior Product Service Specialist will provide Service support and leadership for Boston Scientific capital equipment offerings and associated support infrastructure. Interface with Product Design, Supply Chain, Quality and Marketing groups both internal and external to the company to assure product serviceability and reliability.
Serve as a subject matter expert and aid Capital Equipment process owners in the development of programs that are global in nature and meet the requirements of the project. Provide project management leadership to establish and implement service support infrastructure for new and updated capital equipment offerings.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Drive Design for Serviceability. Utilize expertise and Service data from NCEP, CAPA and other programs to assist in identifying service requirements and improvement opportunities.
- Identify and develop Technical Support requirements for tools, training, documentation, and support processes for all BSC Capital Equipment.
- Partner with Global Field Service Teams to ensure alignment and consistency in service models.
- Establish and develop requirements for Call Center processes and designs for the proposed service models.
- Create and maintain Service documentation.
- Deliver Service training, assist in training development.
- Identify, setup and communicate Service tool needs for in-house and field-based support.
- Work on sustaining as well as new product, software updates and product upgrades.
- Collaborate with business to align Service with the way products are sold.
- Change management using Windchill or document control.
- Interface with design Engineers to identify and implement problem resolution.
What We’re Looking For:
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering or equivalent.
- 5 - 8 Years experience with a bachelor’s degree or 3 - 6 years with a master’s degree
- Technical service experience supporting Capital Equipment or Capital Equipment Engineering and R&D.
- Project Management experience.
- Experience successfully driving process and improvements.
- Must be willing to travel in US and OUS 10-20% of the time.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Field engineering experience.
- Formal training in Six Sigma, LEAN and Project Management is an advantage.
- Technical Service experience supporting Capital Equipment in the Medical Device industry.
