SUMMARY

To deliver desired, sustainable business outcomes and assure the integrity and continuity of AutoZone systems. This position is responsible for the development, maintenance, and support of AutoZone's hardware, software and/or network sub-systems. This includes applying domain knowledge, using technical skills, mentoring less experienced AutoZoners, supporting the customers, resolving problems, and training as required.



RESPONSIBILITIES

This position is to provide DevOps Support and Engineering for the AutoZone.com and related services. You will be involved in investigating, triaging production issues, project work, assisting with the build and release process for Commercial systems all while driving automation adoption.

  • Utilize Jenkins to set up CI for new branches, build automation, and plugin management, and securing Jenkins and setting up master/slave configurations.
  • Maintain, update, and create the Build and Deployment automation solutions in scripting languages including Python, Shell, UNIX shell and PowerShell
  • Setup Continuous Delivery pipeline using Ansible playbooks/ Terraform.
  • Help the teams with creating and merging with multiple branches using GitLab as source code management repository to keep track of version changes.
  • Participate in maintaining software applications and/or subsystems, Debug, roll-out software and support any issue that arise in production (or) lower environments.
  • Perform Site Reliability Engineering tasks ensuring applications are configured to run in dual data center and optimized for performance and stability.
  • Install, configure, tune and support WebLogic Application Server and Apache Web Server.
  • Drive automation by converting production support scripts to Jenkins or other tools.
  • Leverage Dynatrace and other monitoring tools to add and improve AutoZonepro.com dashboards, alerts, and custom metrics.
  • Assist the development teams to address any environment issues reported.
  • Performance tuning (improvement of system performance) and ensuring servers are onboarded to security patching to mitigate any vulnerability.
  • Accurate work planning and execution; accurate project and time tracking
  • Delegating work & mentor/coach other Systems Engineers and Associate Systems Engineers


REQUIREMENTS

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, MIS or related field required
  • Experience working in eCommerce Retail space and understanding of the B2C ecommerce business foundations
  • Candidates must have at least 8+ years’ experience based on consistently demonstrated capabilities in UNIX/Linux, Java, Jenkins, GitHub, Chef, Ansible, Subversion, Ant, VMware, Puppet, SVN, GitHub, Vagrant, CVS, Tomcat
  • Proficient with Shell, Python, Ruby, JSON, YAML, Groovy scripting languages.
  • Familiarity with ITIL processes – Incident, Problem and Change management (certification preferred but not required)
  • Experience with Jenkins building workflows for CI/CD integrations is must.
  • Experience with Application servers like JBoss/Weblogic is must.
  • Experience with Maven & Gradle for building the application is must.
  • Experience with migration and deployment on cloud technologies is desired.
  • Proven experience with using Jira, Dynatrace, SiteScope, Grafana (or) similar APM tools for monitoring purposes and troubleshooting.
  • System estimation, planning and execution skills across multiple domains of expertise.
