Sr Technical Lead - Quality Assurance (IT)

The Quality Assurance (QA) Technical Lead focuses on delivery of QA activities for the MedSleuth, a SBI of DaVita, related to its transplantation platform. The QA Technical Lead will develop and mature activities in their area of specialty and provide QA leadership for IT projects within that area. In partnership with the Leadership Team, the QA Technical Lead will assist in providing oversight and direction of outsourced vendor QA activities.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the project lead for the assigned areas and contribute towards the enterprise needs for end-end test strategy

  • Review requirements and Create/Manage end-end test approach, strategy and plan, test cases – upstream and downstream applications

  • Design and build automated CI/CD test pipelines

  • Conduct risk identification for assigned projects and contribute/lead mitigation action planning with the Individual test teams and mitigate the technical impediments for assigned projects/programs(is capable of driving appropriate resolution for 90%+ issues in area of specialty themselves)

  • Automate Product/Project test metrics including security, risk and % coverage

  • Estimate effort required to perform all QA activities assigned

  • Troubleshoots and resolves or recommends solutions to a diverse range of complex software testing problems. Provide solution to fix the root cause and lead the fix as applicable. Recommend improvements and/or corrections to developers for products assigned.

  • Active participation in project automation engineering design and implementation challenges, working with team to implement high-quality, reusable automation code

  • Lead automation improvement initiatives

  • Lead distributed QA teams at program level

  • Assist with UAT as needed for data creation

Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 6 years of relevant QA experience with multiple release cycles

  • Minimum of 6 years’ experience in Information Technology Software QA testing and/or development

  • Expert knowledge Agile, Waterfall and Iterative frameworks

  • Expert knowledge of software testing, quality assurance best practices

  • Expert knowledge with Test Management and Automation coding frameworks

  • Advanced DB testing experience with one or more DB platforms

  • 3+ healthcare domain knowledge

  • Large scale interconnected system experience

  • Experience and skills in mentoring co-workers

  • Ability to lead a program from QA perspective

  • Experience in leading distributed teams at Program level

  • Demonstrated strengths in coordinating, attention-to-detail, follow-through, reasoning, critical thinking, and problem-solving skills

  • Possesses solid project management skills and/or substantial exposure to project-based work structures.

  • Knowledge of Performance and Automation Testing practices and capabilities

  • Possess strong people and communication skills

  • Expert in understanding of database and NOSQL schema design and experience writing complex SQL queries.
