Stable Hand/Equine Cleanup Job at Carriage Tours of Savannah
Carriage Tours of Savannah is looking for a barn hand/equine cleanup professional. Previous horse experience is desired, though not necessarily in the carriage industry. Ability to drive truck and trailer is required & a test drive will be administered before hire. Handyman or woman abilities a must. You may be called upon to make some repairs to horse stalls, equipment, etc.
Duties will include: bathing and harnessing horses, feeding horses, cleaning stalls, stall/fence repair (all aspects of keeping & cleaning a barn) assisting drivers with hitching & unhitching. Equine cleanup will require patrolling historic Savannah streets for manure spills and urine, scooping and pressure washing those areas with company provided truck and trailer. Great people skills, are required. Must be able to lift at least 50 lbs. Job is every Wednesday - Saturday 12pm - 9pm. Days and times are firm. There is room for advancement and pay increases for hard working reliable staff members.
The right candidate will have excellent communication skills, great problem solving abilities, be friendly, outgoing, courteous and a self starter. Reliable transportation is a must.
