STAFF ACCOUNTANT Job at eMagin Corporation
eMagin, founded in 2000, is the leading manufacturer of active-matrix Organic LED (AM-OLED) Microdisplays on
Silicon. Our displays provide image performance surpassing LCD technologies and are designed and manufactured in USA, in New York State’s Hudson Valley. eMagin OLED Microdisplays offer solutions for military, medical, commercial/industrial and consumer markets including AR/VR applications.

THE ROLE:
- Prepare balance sheets reconciliations in accordance with GAAP and SOX. Including but not limited to
A/R, allowance for doubtful accounts, other receivables
- Support quarterly reviews and annual audits performed by external auditors.
- Prepares monthly journal entries and supporting schedules
- Responsible for Accounts Receivable (A/R) function which includes invoicing, collections, tracking customers’ payments, and daily cash application
- Prepare customer invoices including credit memos while ensuring compliance with SOX controls
- Manage new customer on board process. Reviewing credit application, establishing credit terms, conducting financial analysis including third party report review (D&B) and making recommendations to management
- Maintain Customer Master Data within the A/R Module
- Conduct quarterly A/R analytics
- Assist with collections/cash flow forecasts
- Maintains A/R work instructions/standard operating procedures (SOPs)
- Performs other ad hoc accounting related duties as assigned
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, or related field, required.
- At least three years of related experience required.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES
- Knowledge of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).
- Strong Excel skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Experience with Microsoft Dynamics or other ERP software
- Great customer service, both internally and externally
- Professional business communication skills, including emailing, financial reporting, and other department documentation
- Detail oriented, with a desire to understand every aspect of the business and independently identify and pursue improvement opportunities
- Collaboration and teamwork skills
- Time management abilities, including multitasking, prioritization, and deadline management
