Position Title: Staff Adult Physician
Position Location: 9202 Elam Rd., Dallas, TX 75217
Hours: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
Summary of Duties: Gather and document essential and accurate information about adult patients; makes informed internal medicine decisions about diagnostic and therapeutic interventions incorporating patient information and preferences; develops and carries out patient management plans on an ongoing basis; Counsel and educate patients and their families regarding health promotion, appropriate management of acute conditions, and self-management of chronic conditions; Collaborate with other health care professionals within and outside of PHHS, including community resources when appropriate, to provide coordinated patient-centered care; Utilize effective interpersonal and communication skills with patients, families and the care team. Creates and maintains a therapeutic and ethically sound relationship with the patient. Demonstrates respect, compassion, integrity and responsiveness to the needs of the patient; Maintain knowledge and works toward the division quality goals to achieve the desired practice outcomes. Identify ways to improve work processes, workflows and customer satisfaction for assigned area consistent with the area and institution QAPI program. Stay abreast of the latest developments, advancements, and trends in the field of medicine by attending seminars/workshops, reading professional journals, actively participating in professional organizations. Maintain knowledge of applicable rules, regulations, policies, laws and guidelines that impact the field of medicine. Develops effective internal controls to promote adherence to applicable state/federal laws, and the program requirements of accreditation agencies and federal, state, and private health plans. Provides healthcare and utilized evidence based clinical practice guidelines in the management to improve health outcomes. Modifies approach, communication and interaction to take into account the specific or special needs of all customers. May participate in writing and/or presenting publications and presentations. Integrate knowledge gained into current work practices. Practices cost effective health care while meeting or exceeding expected productivity and utilization standards.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS: M.D. or D.O.
SPECIAL SKILLS OR OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
1. Licensed or eligible for Texas Medical License
2. BC/BE in Internal of Family Medicine
