What will you do

The Staff Engineer is responsible for managing the Skin Health Body Care New Package Development team. This person will be in a Squad Lead role being the face of Packaging to the Business. Key contributions include resource assessment and evaluation for new products, due diligence work for projects, and governance lead.

Responsibilities

• Lead the efforts of skilled professional teams or act as a key contributor on larger teams in addressing complex technical issues.

• Effectively and positively influence colleagues in specialized field or discipline and provides strong mentorship for people development

• Participates in Community of Practice in own area(s) of expertise - recognized internally as an expert in a specialized area

• Develop, review, and approve packaging specifications and documentation. Responsible for packaging line trials and package testing to support product release.

• Manage Project budget requirements.

• Provide end to end technical packaging guidance to Cross Functional Business team.

What we are looking for

Required Qualifications

o Minimum of a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Package Engineering or related Engineering field

o Minimum six (6) years of Consumer Products Packaging or related experience

o Master’s Degree in related field

o Team Leadership Skills

o Excellent Package Development Skills

o Robust Communication Skills

o Ability to interact and lead within a cross functional group

o Ability to convert Marketing concepts into realistic Packaging options

o Identifies patterns, spots trends and recommends innovative and agile responses

o Identifies innovative technology/solutions for a given business need/consumer insight or technical problem; identifies new applications for existing technology

o Displays superior project implementation skills; guides teams through ambiguity to manage scientific and technical processes

o Contributor for commercially significant patents and innovative technologies

o Acts as a consultant to the business, enabling project advancement through cross-functional interactions

o Taking a highly collaborative approach with ability to manage multiple rapidly changing priorities with minimal supervision

o Demonstrated ability to analyze data, identify root causes, draw conclusions and generate reports that present sound data driven conclusions

• This position requires up to 20% travel based upon business needs.

The anticipated base pay range for this position is $102,000- $163,300.
