Sterile Processing Tech Job at Redlands Community Hospital - CENTRAL PROCESSING/STERILIZATION
Redlands Community Hospital - CENTRAL PROCESSING/STERILIZATION Redlands, CA 92373
Reporting to the Director of Surgical Services, this position prepares, packages and sterilizes supplies for the hospital. Assists in the training of new employees. Works under the direction of the Lead CS Technician, Materials Management Supervisor, and Director of Materials Management.
QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE:

Strong knowledge of sterilization techniques.
*
Ability to identify instruments and assemble instrument trays for surgical procedures.
*
Must be available to work all shifts if necessary.
*
Strong communication skills are essential, good computer skills preferred and must be able to work with minimum supervision.
*
Experience in CPD is preferred.
*
Training in sterile technique, the care and handling of surgical instruments, and instrument identification preferred.
*
Central Service Technician certification required within 12 months of hire.
*
Advanced level CBSPD or IAHCSMM certification and a minimum three years of experience required for Level II CPD Technician.
