The Steward is responsible for thoroughly washing and storing all china, glassware, silverware and flatware.

General Responsibilities Include:

• Perform cleaning of all china, glassware, silverware and flatware within the food and beverage operations
• Clean, transport, and store all pots and pans used in the food and beverage operations and maintain stewarding area in a clean and orderly manner
• Operate and maintain cleaning equipment and tools including hand wash stations and trash compactor
• Wash and disinfect kitchen area, tables, tools, knives, and equipment Ensure clean wares are stored in appropriate areas
• Perform other duties as requested, such as cleaning unexpected spills and executing special requests

• Must be a team player

Physical Requirements:

• Must be able to walk and stand for up to four (4) hours in length
• Must be able to bend, stoop, squat and stretch
• Must be able to occasionally lift up to 25 lbs.
• Requires grasping, standing, sitting, walking, repetitive motions, listening and hearing ability and visual acuity
• Must be able to be around heat and equipment emitting heat for up to four (4) hours in length

Qualification Standards:

Education: High School Diploma or equivalent education preferred

Experience: One year of luxury hotel Food and Beverage experience preferred

Licenses or Certificates: none

Grooming: All colleagues must maintain a neat, and well groomed appearance (specific standards will be provided)

The expected pay range for this position is $21.12 per hour after 90-day probationary period completion pay range will be $24.85 per hour.
