Title of Position- Manager of Stores

Reports to –General Manager of Stores
Summary: The Retail Co Manager is responsible for overseeing the day to day operation of the Thrift Store, Boutique and Furniture Store
Responsibilities include:
· Open, close and secure store
· Schedule, assign, and follow up on tasks to employees and volunteers.
· Maintain store staff by recruiting, selecting, orienting and training employees
· Maintain store staff job results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees; monitoring and praising job results to increase sales and ensure efficiency
· Formulate pricing policies by reviewing merchandise on hand, checking competitors’ pricing, following sales trends and authorizing clearance sales
· Organize promotions, displays and events
· Monitor the status of donations in the Distribution Center. Communicate with staff to ensure the flow of merchandise to limit stagnate goods
· Protect employees and customers by providing a safe and clean environment
· Respond to customer complaints and comments
· Work with POS vendor to keep system running smoothly and effectively
· Maintain the stability and reputation of the store by complying with legal requirements
· Establish relationships within the community, donors, and retail partners
· Develop the store budget in conjunction with the Director of Store Management
· Setting and achieving store sales goals
· Keep accurate tracking of daily, monthly and annual metrics.
· Report physical, equipment and operational needs
· Initiate changes to improve business
· Develop and implement store policies and procedures
· Collaborate with The Sharing Center departments to fulfill our mission of providing and generating revenue to meet the needs of our community
· Create and maintain staff schedules
· Other duties as assigned
Time Requirements:
The Retail Co Manager is a full time position requiring availability on Saturdays and holidays. May also include special events after normal business hours.

Retail experience Team player
Excellent organizational and selling skills Customer service skills
Computer knowledge of Outlook, Word, & Excel
Able to multi task and work in a fast paced environment Strong decision making skills
Two years management/supervisory skills
Physical demands:
Specific physical characteristics and abilities are required to perform duties such as agility, dexterity and long periods of walking, standing, bending, carrying or lifting supplies and furniture weighing up to 40 pounds.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 per hour
