Job Description/Responsibilities:
The storeroom coordinator position is responsible for parts room development and control, warehouse and inventory of maintenance parts, inventory accuracy and integrity with CMMS utilization. The position will work with the maintenance team and planners to identify critical spares and consumables to support normal daily operations. The storeroom coordinator will work with outside vendors such as OEM's and approved local suppliers to acquire needed parts.

The position will facilitate steps from receiving quotes to generating PR's and properly stocking received items, while maintaining an organized inventory system.
  • Support the safety program through ongoing preventive maintenance systems. Address safety related concerns quickly to eliminate hazards and reduce injuries. Support the plant safety efforts in partnership with other departments. Ensure suppliers adhere to safety rules. Ensure adherence to Personal Safety, Food Safety, Quality and Environmental Policies and Practices.
  • Conduct performance meetings with Suppliers, Plant Maintenance Supervisors and technicians to improve Inventory Service. Creates and develops a personal development plan with the Maintenance Planner to improve a skill/competency leading to improve performance.
  • Develop the skills needed to attain the desired career path within the organization. Individuals are responsible for identifying their own career goals and communicating same to their supervisor.
  • Ensure that defect free products are scheduled, produced and shipped, in full and on time to meet customer demand.
  • Administer/track OEM parts replacement process. Ensure price competitiveness. Track warranty information to avoid costly repairs and voided warranties.
  • Ensure that the Buffalo Trace buildings and grounds are in show condition at all times. All areas free and clear of debris and trash, work areas maintained at the highest possible standard of cleanliness, and ensuring that the National Landmark status is maintained.
  • Support Preventive Maintenance program with parts availability, communication, improvement of lead times, CMMS utilization for inventory and cost control.

  • Assist in the development and ongoing updates of SOP’s and processes related to MRO inventory and preventive maintenance scheduling.
  • Consult with maintenance team on cost savings projects to ensure supplier performance, maximize output and prevent downtime.

Qualifications/Requirements:

MUST

  • Self-motivated, innovative and solution-oriented mindset
  • High School diploma or GED equivalent
  • At least 21 years of age
  • Working knowledge of MS Office Products (Word, Excel and Outlook)
  • Strong analytical and technical skills
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • 2 years relevant experience (minimum)

PREFERRED

  • Engineering or related degree or equivalent experience
  • 2 years manufacturing experience in CPG or process industry (minimum)

Physical Requirements

  • Ability to pick up and/or move objects up to 25 pounds without assistance
  • Ascending or descending ladders, stairs, scaffolding, ramps, poles and the like.
  • A valid driver's license
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to work overtime if necessary
  • Ability to work 8 hour shift
  • Ability to read and write
