Duties and Responsibilities:
Client Relationship (40%)
Interact efficiently and professionally with a diverse group of prospective students to understand their career goals and training needs to achieve those goals.
Understand and communicate the benefits of SLCC’s short-term programs.
Understand and communicate the differences in application, enrollment, financial aid, and certification between short-term programs and degree programs offered at SLCC.
Answer inbound calls and emails relating to enrollment in short-term programs.
Make outbound calls and send emails to follow up with prospective students to ensure each course section has the minimum number of students enrolled to run the course.
Meet with students in-person to assist with financial aid applications and college applications.
Serve as a liaison between prospective students and program management teams.
Support daily workflows by engaging with cross-functional teams.
Manage time accordingly to reply to all student inquiries within 24 hours.
Data Entry Specialist (30%):
Enter information about prospective students into Salesforce and record follow-up notes with accuracy, consistency, and attention to detail.
Follow strategies developed that move potential prospects along the Salesforce pipeline.
Maintain the day-to-day data accuracy of communication between prospective students and the Recruiting and Program Teams.
Write and maintain template emails in Salesforce to accurate reflect benefits of that program.
Create and maintain recruiting campaigns in Salesforce to accurately reflect projected enrollment.
Provide support to the Director of Client Relations and Student Recruitment, who oversees the Salesforce CRM, by identifying opportunities for improvements in Salesforce data to increase client conversion and lead generation.
Enter data into Excel spreadsheets pertaining to student enrollment and financial aid.
Financial Aid Assistance (20%)
Accurately communicate tuition assistance options to prospective students.
Understand the requirements and application process for various tuition assistance options.
Meet with prospective students to gather information for financial aid applications, including sensitive information, such as SSN, income, and criminal background
Use the Banner system to look up collection and financial holds that would limit tuition assistance options.
Gather documents, such as high school diplomas, required for some tuition assistance
Assist students with financial aid applications, such as FASFA, LOSFA, and Sallie Mae.
Assist students with financial aid applications for special grants.
Student Applications (10%)
Assist prospective students with applying to the college for the correct semester.
Ability to work in Banner to look up student ID and enter into Salesforce.
Ability to identify holds on prospective students’ accounts.
Work with Registrar’s Office to lift holds and update information for the application process.
OTHER:
Predictable and reliable attendance is required to provide consistency and continuity of educational services.
Appropriately researches policies and procedures for compliance with college, state, and program rules, regulations, and guidelines.
Analyzes and identifies the strengths and weaknesses of service delivery options and exercises critical thinking, problem solving, and judgment skills.
Fosters a positive and productive work environment while leading and motivating staff.
Provides up-to-date information to management.
Support Director of Client Relations and Student Recruitment and Program Managers with various tasks as assigned
Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Education:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in related field
or
Associates Degree from accredited college combined with 5 years of related experience
Required Experience: 1 year of related experience (sales, recruitment, higher education, customer service)
Required Licenses or Certifications: An active, unencumbered Driver's License
Preferred Education: Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in related field
Preferred Experience:
5 Years of related experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience using a customer relationship management system (ex: Salesforce, Recruit)
Passing pre-employment criminal background screen is required as a condition of employment.
