UW Medicine’s IT Services department has an outstanding opportunity for a STUDENT ASSISTANT - ITSM & EPIC ASSISTANT!

This position will support a variety of areas in ITS specifically within ITSM and Epic. This will provide a well-rounded opportunity to learn, support, and contribute to an integral team that supports our UW organization. This position will require a schedule that aligns with our weekly operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Assist in teams daily operational duties in the following areas – Change management, Epic migration tool, SharePoint development such as, but not limited to:

  • o Review change requests ensure that appropriate information is provided, and workflows are followed in accordance with Change management.
    o Assist IT Change Manager with running weekly meetings.
    o Follow-up on past due changes and ensure closure in a timely manner.
    o Assist with reporting and metrics as needed.
    o Track, maintain, and audit change requests.
    o Assist creating Standard templates into UNITE (ServiceNow).
    o Perform audits for policy compliance with our Epic Tool – Data Courier and Content Management.
    o Assist with presentation slides as needed.
  • Review process document for the team.

  • Assist with scheduling and coordination amongst teams.

  • Other related duties as assigned.


  • REQUIREMENTS

  • Currently enrolled UW student who meets enrollment eligibility requirements.

  • Strong writing, editing, and verbal communication skills.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (SharePoint a plus).

  • Strong attention to detail and process oriented.

  • Ability to work independently.

  • Ability to work well with others on team projects.

  • Must be able to learn, understand, and apply new technologies.

  • Flexibility with proven ability to conform to shifting priorities and business needs.
