The Subcontract Administration Manager plays a critical role in safeguarding company assets, reducing risk exposure, and ensuring the future financial success of the company by managing business sub- agreements, and client and vendor contracts. Responsible for managing the negotiation and compliance of all sub-agreements and vendor contracts to meet the company’s accounting objectives. This position manages the Subcontract Coordinator and partners with the Contracts Administration Manager to meet business objectives.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Manages all sub-agreement and vendor contract negotiations while ensuring compliance with established company guidelines and procedures.
  • Drafts, reviews, and negotiates lump sum, time, material, and cost-plus fixed fee Subcontract and Subconsultant agreements.
  • Manages purchase and equipment lease agreements.
  • Leads, trains, coaches/mentors and directs subcontract group, ensuring the group is proactive and responsive, demonstrating success with measurable results.
  • Responsible for selection, orientation, training, development, mentorship, and retention of employees in subcontract group, and making recommendations and/or decisions regarding various employee matters such as performance, salaries, and terminations.
  • Cross-trains with Contracts Administration Manager to provide support for client contracts as needed.
  • Collaborates with executives and business unit leaders to develop policies and procedures relating to sub-agreement and contract administration companywide.
  • Advises on subcontract and vendor contracts relating to financial administration, risk management, and compliance.
  • Partners with project staff to resolve disputes related to invoices and other subcontract matters.
  • Maintains current and ongoing knowledge of industry trends and uses that knowledge to determine most the effective ways of meeting business needs.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
  • 5+ years of contract, subcontract, vendor management or related experience required.
  • 2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience highly preferred.
  • Advanced proficiency of MS Office Suite, particularly Excel and Word. Experience with Deltek Vision a plus.
  • Experience with CPFF projects and EV Schedules a plus.
  • Proven success leading high-performance, results-driven teams and aligning those teams with organizational strategy. Demonstrated experience effectively managing multiple priorities and projects with critical deadlines; exceptional planning and organizational skills.
  • Outstanding interpersonal, written and verbal communication/presentation skills with capability to successfully advise and influence the company’s management and executive teams and develop and maintain productive working relationships with individuals at all levels of responsibility.
  • Decisive and results-oriented, with strong business acumen, analysis and problem-solving skills.
  • High level of professional integrity, accountability and ability to quickly and effectively build trust and credibility, address difficult issues and effectively resolve disputes.

Physical Requirements and Work Environment

  • Normal office environment with moderate noise levels, occasional lifting of up to 25 lbs., prolonged sitting and regular walking, bending, standing and reaching.
  • Ability to perform consistent work on a PC with prolonged view of a monitor/screen.
  • Willingness and ability to travel occasionally as needed.

Our best estimate of the salary range for this position, located in Boston MA, Redmond WA, Sacramento CA, San Diego CA, Seattle WA, Tacoma WA is $80,906-$140,969. Our best estimate of the salary range for this position, located in Bellingham WA, Bend OR, Houston TX, Lake Oswego OR, Portland OR, Salem OR is $77,670-$135,330. Our best estimate of the salary range for this position, located in Boise ID, Cary NC, Kansas City KS, Kennewick WA, Spokane WA, Wenatchee WA is $74,434-$129,691. Our best estimate of the salary range for this position, located in Baton Rouge LA, Charleston SC, Nashville TN, Springfield MO is $71,197-$124,053. Compensation offered will be based on a variety of individual factors, including education and experience, as well as internal equity. GeoEngineers’ salary ranges are reviewed and updated each year and employees are eligible for pay increases based on individual performance. As part of our competitive total rewards package, employees in this role may also be eligible for our annual year-end bonus offering, subject to program eligibility requirements.
