- Independently facilitate regular status meetings and workshops
- Collaborate with operations, IT, and other stakeholders to define direction. This direction can include performance analysis, defining requirements, and working with teams to develop solutions to meet these requirements
- Partner users and stakeholder to implement and support agree upon solutions
- Partner with stakeholders to identify and create new features for individual subsystems and integration across subsystems
- Prioritize issues and inquiries. Manage internal escalation and resolution of issues
- Track and monitor issues; provide regular reporting/analysis
- Act as a trusted advisor for day-to-day and senior clients
- Managing and identifying risks, mitigation plan, and executive updates.
- Make recommendation to help define and refine product development processes
- Convert strategy and priorities into tangible business requirements, prototypes, and design concepts
- Develop the business case for new products and improvements to existing products
- Experience building uses cases and technically focused specifications, data flow, diagrams, etc.
- Translate feature ideas into actionable product requirements, clarify acceptance criteria, and provide the detail needed for architect, product owner, and scrum teams to estimate and execute on planned work
- Understanding business implications of decisions in order to align work with strategic goals
- Be the subject matter expert for the applications around the products you are managing
- Respond to requests for information from the client and other contract teams
- Develop and analyze large data sets
- Draft requirements documents and create system mockups
- Assist with preparation and facilitation of working group meetings
- Maintain team's knowledge management documentation
- Write job aids and other training materials
- Facilitate meetings both scheduled and ad hoc
- Data collection and analysis
- Drafting and editing technical documentation
- Respond to Requests for Information (RFIs)
- Facilitate user acceptance process
- Secret Security Clearance
- Previous DHS or TSA experience (active DHS highly desired)
- DHS\TSA Suitability desired but must be quickly clearable
- Must have 8+ years demonstrated knowledge and experience in the following areas:
- Planning and conducting system requirements meetings and workshops
- Conducting advanced data analysis related to staff productivity, workload volume, risk, or key performance indicators
- Translating operational challenges into defined functional requirements
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams on requirements development and management
- Streamlining internal processes, conducting process and quality improvement projects
- Prioritizing, assigning, and balancing competing projects, publishing status reports, and updating clients on project status
- Planning and tracking key project milestones – identify and build consensus on alternative courses of action
- Documenting processes and supporting training initiatives
- Independently researching technology requirements, organizational procedures, and operational policies
- Developing and enhancing training materials
- Strong MS Product skills in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint, along with data tools such as Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Willing and able to occasionally work outside normal business hours (on average once per month)
- Willingness to become an expert in multiple operational roles, specialized processes and custom IT products; and teach these roles and processes to operational workforce
- BA/BS degree Major in quantitative field (e.g., economics, statistics)
