Recreational facility looking to hire a hands-on maintenance staff members for our summer maintenance to help set up and maintain our 25-acre property in Rockland County. We are a looking for jack of all trades to assist with general property maintenance; landscaping, cleaning and basic janitorial tasks.

We are looking for people who are eager to work. High standards, strong work ethic, positive attitude, open minded to other people’s ideas. Opportunity for a full time position after the summer season.

Basic Responsibilities:

• Perform variety of tasks, leaf pick up, painting, moving picnic tables, facility step and take down and cleaning.
• Follow a work schedule and work efficiently throughout the day.
• Help maintain a safe and clean working environment daily.

Requirements and Qualifications

• High Diploma, vocational training or equivalent preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively in English, including understanding, speaking, reading and writing. Good interpersonal skills.
• Able to lift, move, position, place and transport objects up to 50 pounds.
• Able to stand and walk for prolonged periods of time.
• Able to perform repeated bending, squatting, stooping, pushing and pulling.
• Able to ascend and descend ladders.
• Able to work outside in a variety of weather conditions.
• Applicants need their own transportation, be punctual, presentable and respectful toward fellow workers and toward our clients.
• Work Monday through Friday, 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
• Willing to work overtime in June, July and August.
• Must be able to show work history, provide 3 references from past employers.
• All candidates will be subject to a background check (including license & driving record) as well as checks against the New York State and National Sex Offender registries.

Job Types: Full-time, Temporary

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

Schedule:

• 8 hour shift
• Monday to Friday
• Overtime

Experience:
