Compensation: $60,000-$70,000. This range is a good faith estimate of the compensation to be offered for this position based on the ideal candidate’s qualifications, the Company’s operational needs, and other considerations permitted by law. Cambridge Investment Research Inc., one of the nation’s top independent financial solutions firm, is actively looking for a person who has a passion for leading a team of administrative services professionals to join the Marketing Department as a full time Supervisor of the Cambridge Source Office Assistant team. The Supervisor works under the direction of Consulting Services leadership and functions as the direct leader of about 10 associates that are responsible for working with our financial professionals by doing administrative tasks, client follow up, and gaining their trust in completing administrative duties.

- Supervise the day-to-day activities of team or teams within a department including but not limited to administering performance reviews, progressive discipline, staffing, ensuring adequate initial and ongoing training, and ensure adherence to company and departmental policies, procedures, and standards
- Drive overall team effectiveness by monitoring morale, work quality, and prioritizing team assignments
- Implement team enhancements in order to continually improve service
- Provide input to management for the budgetary process
- Resolve escalated issues and fill in when necessary by performing regular departmental duties
- Maintain accurate records and document actions for areas managed
- Interface within the company in a professional and courteous manner to achieve the Company’s common goals and ensure communication of those goals and statuses to all necessary parties
- Maintain familiarity with industry knowledge of key topics, knowledge of company policies and procedures, and knowledge of company and industry financial software applications
- Communicate internal policies and procedures, as well as external clearing firm policies and procedures to associates, and work through any potential violations in a quick and professional manner
- Increase knowledge of document preparation and processing as well as other advanced services. Troubleshoot complex issues related to business processing
- Answer and problem-solve incoming telephone, voice mail, e-mail and occasionally in-person requests professionally and courteously
- Seek avenues of continuous improvement to enhance day to day process and procedures
- Discuss the “Virtual Assistant” program with financial professionals as needed at request of management, company associates, clients, vendors, and financial professionals, including outlining the benefits of the “Virtual Assistant” program in person or via phone, gathering indications of interest in the program
Four or more years of related experience, education and/or training.
This job requires obtaining a FIRNA Series 99 license within the first 6 months in order to complete job responsibilities. Cambridge will provide financial and educational support towards obtaining required license(s) including paid study time, training courses, study materials and online resources.
