Job Summary/Basic Function
SI leader holds regularly scheduled, out-of-class, review sessions for historically difficult courses. SI study sessions are informal seminars in which students compare notes, discuss readings, develop organizational tools and predict test items. Students learn how to integrate course content and reasoning skills.

Specific Responsibilities

Work Schedule
Scheduled hours occur between 8am – 8pm, Monday through Friday. Work schedule is flexible with student’s class schedule and will be determined by student availability and department needs.

Job Duties

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
  • Attending all class sessions.
  • Taking notes on the material covered in the lecture.
  • Reading all assigned materials.
  • Scheduling & leading a minimum of three [50 minutes] sessions each week.
  • Attending required training sessions.
  • Attending all meetings scheduled by the supervisor.
  • Integrating study skills with course content.
  • Collecting data that documents the effectiveness of the program.
  • Developing & maintaining a working relationship with the instructor.
  • Making announcements to the class about the sessions.
