Primary Purpose of Position
Manages and oversees all areas of the football equipment room to include the forecasting of equipment needs, allocation, procurement and receipt, maintenance, repair, replacement and proper handling and safe keeping of equipment assets. This position managers and monitors equipment budget expenditures. Employee must be AEMA Certified.

Minimum Education/Experience
Required Minimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalency.

University Preferred Qualifications:

Graduation from high school or successful completion of its equivalency and two years of relevant experience in the area of assignment; or an equivalent combination of training and experience.

Essential Job Duties
The Director of Football Equipment Operations is responsible for oversight of all aspects of an NCAA DI football equipment room.
Essential functions include but are not limited to:
  • Ordering and receiving gear and apparel
  • Maintaining accurate inventory records and files
  • Laundering practice and game gear as needed
  • Developing and strengthening relationships with vendors
  • Preparation of the field for practices and games
  • Setting up locker rooms on game days
  • Ensuring the equipment truck is loaded for away games
  • Oversight of student managers.
  • This position is expected to stay abreast of and adhere to all NCAA, Conference, and vendor rules and regulations.

Other Work Responsibilities

Departmental Preferred Experience, Skills, Training/Education
  • Valid driver’s license
  • AEMA Certification
  • Undergraduate degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • 2+ years of experience at an NCAA DI institution
