Job Role Summary
- Greets patients at registration window and obtain completed registration forms and ID from clients.
- Registers patients into the electronic medical record updating demographics, consent authorization, and other patient information.
- Create visit encounters and collect all applicable fees that relate to visit.
- Scan registration forms, IDs, referral forms and all other applicable documents into OnBase.
- Performs monthly inventory on all intake supplies.
- Assist other departments when assigned.
- Participates in public health emergency preparedness exercises and in response to public health emergencies, as directed.
- Participates in a minimum of two H.O.P.E. events totaling a minimum of eight (8) hours annually.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Typing: 30 WPM
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities
Language Skills
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.
- Ability to write simple correspondence.
- Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.
Mathematical Skills
- Ability to add and subtract two digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10’s and 100’s.
- Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.
Reasoning Ability
- Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
- Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variable in standardized situations.
