CIVIL & ENVIRONMENTAL PRACTICE Michael Baker International’s civil engineering professionals manage and staff active projects in over 40 countries on five continents. Services are provided for a broad range of projects and capabilities, including highways, airports, bridges, rail and transit systems, government and commercial facilities, water and wastewater infrastructure, oil and gas infrastructure, and commercial/urban development. Our fields of expertise span all areas of civil engineering and include an extensive variety of specialty disciplines, such as environmental compliance and restoration, coastal engineering, urban development, and mining.

DESCRIPTION Michael Baker International is seeking a part-time Support Technician to join the Environmental Department in our Harrisburg, PA office. This staff will need to report in-person to the Harrisburg Office on occasion but can largely work from home.

The successful candidate will be responsible for leading cast iron permitting in Central Pennsylvania on behalf of a utility provider. The work will entail permit packaging, tracking, and coordination with the possibility of needing to populate permit forms and drawings as well.

Organizational skills, attention to detail, follow through, and reliability are essential to the position, as are strong oral and written communication skills. The position also requires an ability to be flexible to possible fluctuations in weekly workload, with a tentative estimate of 20 hours per week of work.

TECHNICAL REQUIREMENTS

Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Outlook

Proficiency with or ability to learn Microsoft SharePoint

Proficiency with or ability to learn Adobe pdf editing software
