We are currently seeking a talented Survey CAD Technician for our expanding Glastonbury BSC Group Survey Department. The successful candidate will contribute to the preparation and production of boundary, topographic and existing conditions location surveys, subdivision plans, land preservation surveys, metes and bounds descriptions, exhibits, as-built record drawings, and other land surveying and civil engineering related work. Requirements include a high school diploma (college degree preferred), formal CAD training, proficiency using AutoCAD and Civil 3D software . Two years of experience in CAD and/or land surveying are desirable.

The responsibilities and competencies of this position include:

• Ability to produce finished Survey drawings in a Civil 3D CAD environment
• Understanding of digital field books, field codes, and field-to-finish Survey techniques
• Ability to process and edit line work, figures, and surface models
• Support the development, documentation, and communication of best practices of CAD technologies
• Manage CAD standards, content libraries, and templates
• Engage with project teams to strategize, employ, and maintain an effective CAD strategy for project deliverables
• Assist in performing field visits required to support design
• Organize and assist with maintenance of CAD project records
• Perform quality control and quality assurance reviews of drawings
• Effective time management skills
• Ability to work independently
