Overview of position:

FEDITC is seeking a Systems Administration Support at Lackland AFB, TX. Active TS/SCI Clearance and a United States Citizenship are required to be considered for this position. Willing to take Polygraph.

Install, configure, and maintain network switches, routers, workstations, servers and other peripherals that support offensive mission activities. Optimize and fine tune performance and troubleshoot common to complex system and network problems. Develop instructions for and assist with installing, implementing, integrating, and maintaining networked systems. Troubleshoot hardware, software, and LAN/WAN problems. Resolve connectivity and interoperability issues between network components. Identify and determine corrective actions to be taken. Maintain configuration oversight of the systems and network components. Ensure components are functioning properly and that system backups are conducted to prevent the loss of data. Install upgrades or modifications on customer workstations. Administer, create and delete user accounts, assign and reset passwords.

Responsibilities:

• Provide on-site, day-to-day assistance to the 390 COS and supporting units in maintaining telecommunications and information technology (IT) mission systems and subsystems IAW Air Force and Joint IT standards.
• Coordinate timely resolution of and follow-up on software and hardware problems with all levels of IT resources including network, server, and application operations; troubleshoot and diagnose, maintain, diagnose, service, and repair computer hardware, peripherals, and software; provide individual, hands-on training to users on request.
• Serve as a cybersecurity liaison (CSL) providing network accounts and passwords as required, serve as the Information System Security Officer (ISSO) and maintain current and accurate inventory of technology hardware, software and resources IAW AF IT asset management guidance (ITEC program) and perform related duties as assigned.
• Ensure stored material confidence and protection IAW Air Force and Joint standards to include back-ups, file plans, naming conventions, and storage; monitor security of all technology; audit systems and report status; preserve information security, safeguard backups and other sensitive data.

Experience/Education:

• Experience in System / Network Administration
• Maintaining and troubleshooting system resource issues and security issues
• Experience with small and large network environments and supporting computer resource issues, resolving problems, installing systems, updating, and upgrading systems
• Possess excellent analytical and technical problem-solving skills
• Knowledge of System software, networks, and computer equipment; knowledge of VoIP and VTC over NIPRNET, SIPRNET and JWICS
• Microsoft, Unix, Linux administration, VM technologies, Retina, Gold Disk; Storage Area Network (SAN) and Network Attached Storage (NAS); SOPs, TOs; Training/ experience with Symantec, MacAfee, Kaspersky, AVG, Nmap, Burp Suite, Wireshark, Visio, and/or Docker

Certifications:

• IAT Level II Certification

Clearance:

• Must be a US Citizen and an Active TS/SCI Clearance.

• Maintain applicable security clearance(s) at the level required by the client and/or applicable certification(s) as requested by FEDITC and/or required by FEDITC’S Client(s)/Customer(s)/Prime contractor(s).
