GENERAL PURPOSE
As a member of the applications team, provides technical support to defined end user groups. Under limited supervision, works with user groups to solve business problems with available technology including hardware, software, databases, and peripherals. Has technical experience related to studying and analyzing system needs, systems development, systems process analysis, design, and reengineering. Has experience with business management, systems engineering, operations research, and management engineering aspects of the role. May have assignment or specialization to software or business applications utilized in the enterprise environment. Keeps abreast of technological developments and applications.

SUPERVISION RECEIVED
This position works under the direction of the Applications Manager.

SUPERVISON EXERCISED
This position may exercise supervision over teams.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

" Position will support application implementation, change, & support efforts of ERP and other enterprise systems of record to assigned user groups.
" Provide technical & business insight on organizational processes.
" Ability to troubleshoot systems integrations between on premise & cloud hosted systems.
" Analyzes, Designs, Evaluates, Develops and Implements systems and procedures relating to the processing of information supporting all operational areas of the City -Finance and Human Resources, Public Safety, Community Development, Public Works, & supporting business units.
" Collaborate between software vendors, IT, & business units
" Insures the long-term operation and reliability of information systems by verifying the proper functioning of all system features and capabilities in order to reveal and correct any deficiencies or malfunctions.
" Ability to achieve desired data analysis by extraction of data from data stores using SQL or other BI reporting tools.
" Evaluates system instruction and procedures, Recommends alternative solutions and/or improvements in information processing methods, and Redesigns and Modifies systems or processes as required.
" Coordinates all system-related activities with individual offices and organizational units in order to analyze requirements, formulate objectives, justify automation efforts and define projects; Assists system users with procedures required for information processing and the resolution of problems resulting from the processing of information; Provides direction, technical training, assistance and system support to all users of system capabilities.
" Assists and Supports the development of and adherence to required standards, controls, procedures and performance measures related to information systems.
" Performs related work as required.
" Works with project sponsors & stakeholders to meet agreed upon goals
" Custom report writing.
" Manage and report time spent on all work activities.
" Strong communication skills; both written and spoken
" Performs any other duties required for the ongoing operation of the IT department.
" On-call application support may be required
" Provide quality and effective customer service with courtesy and understanding to our customers, citizens, and internal departments.

DESIRED MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

Education & Experience:

" 4 year college degree
" 3+ years relevant work experience

Necessary Knowledge, skills, & Abilities:

" Capable of leading implementation, change, & support efforts of ERP and other enterprise systems of record to assigned user groups.
" Previous knowledge of ERP system management practices.
" Ability to communicate effectively, orally and in writing; ability to translate technical terminology into terms understandable to others.
" Ability to achieve desired data analysis by extraction of data from data stores using SQL or other BI reporting tools.
" Ability to exercise ingenuity and inventiveness in problem solving; skill in applying procedures to improve organizational productivity and efficiency.
" Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with City officials, employees and vendor partners.
