Job title: Talend Developer

Location: Morristown, New Jersey

Duration: 12+ months

Responsibilities:

· Work with our business partners to discover data sources, and create data requests;

· Design/Develop the ETL processes, routes and API’s to ingest structured and unstructured data into our Data Management Supply Chain

· Leverage a variety of data sources (Databases, IoT, internal/external documents, images, video, and operational data)

· Develop the Covanta Data Architecture under the guidance of the Covanta Senior Data Architect.

· Stay educated on new and emerging technologies/patterns/methodologies related to data management and integration

· Work with Data Services team for delivering new projects

Qualifications:

· Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Computer Science, Engineering, or related fields preferred

· Minimum of 5 years of experience in software development, database design and data manipulation

· Programming languages: .NET, Java

· Proven Experience with Talend

· Proven expertise in Talend Data Fabric with Jobs and Routes strongly preferred

· API development expertise

· Strong SQL Skills - Ability to develop complex queries

· Experience with data visualization tools – especially Microstrategy and PowerBI desireable

· Strong working knowledge of MS Office products

· Experience/Understanding of Cloud Architectures, Data Integrations and Data Migrations

· Experience working with containers like Docker

· Ability to convert, integrate and manipulate data across various applications

· Ability to define and develop application test scenarios and to compare data discrepancies on a mass basis

· Develop and/or modify programs typically related to database updates, records modifications, processing of data and reporting

· Ability to pick up new languages and technologies quickly

· Excellent communication, writing and presentation skills

· Strong technical analytical skills

· Critical thinking and attention to details
