Talent Booking & Casting Administrator Opportunities Job at Universal Orlando Resort
JOB SUMMARY: Supports the administration function of sourcing and acquisition of Entertainment Talent/Contracted Acts from outside of UO as well as the internal casting processes in order to provide exceptional entertainment and promote a positive guest experience. This includes talent for Park Venues, CW Venues, Marquee Events, Special Events, etc.
MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Provides administrative support in all aspects of the Entertainment Division’s Talent Booking and Casting processes. Works closely with Entertainment Management in the scheduling and recruitment of internal and external contract talent for the resort. Responsibilities include fielding talent inquiries, maintaining department booking calendars, communicating with contract vendors about talent availability including pricing and promotional materials. Prepares contract documents and processes all necessary payments to performers. Assists with scheduling annual in park approved contract acts throughout the resort including Islands of Adventure, Universal Studios Florida and CityWalk. Updates and shares Talent Booking & Casting department’s Master Calendar and communicates new bookings to the Entertainment teams. Is sometimes the lead point person for contracted talent vendors, helping to facilitate operational or payment issues before escalation to management. Assists with document preparation in the procurement of headline talent booked for marquee and corporate events. Creates contract status reports and document archives.
- Assists in the preparation of all casting documents to support the internal performer audition processes. Maintains talent department’s promo materials and roster, inputting videos, photos, pricing, contact info and communicating the updates to all Entertainment stakeholders. Assists with auditions, callbacks, agility tests and casting planning meetings as needed.
- Sets up all contracted talent vendors in the global system to ensure artists are paid as contracted. Drafts contracts, submits and maintains all documents including W9, performance agreements, communications as well as payment verification receipts as requested. Provides financial tracking reports as requested.
- Understands and actively participates in Environmental, Health & Safety responsibilities by following established UO policy, procedures, training and team member involvement activities.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
EDUCATION: High school degree or GED is required. Bachelor’s degree in a related field such as Theater or Film/Video Production preferred.
EXPERIENCE: 3+ years of experience in the Entertainment Industry required: preferably in the areas of talent management, casting management, directing talent and/or promoting talent; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
