Kushner LaGraize, L.L.C. is a well-established, mid-sized, certified public accounting firm with approximately 60 employees, located in the Greater New Orleans area. We are a successful firm that specializes in serving closely held companies and high net worth individuals. We provide a full spectrum of professional services including Tax Consulting, planning and preparation, Audit and Attestation services, litigation support services, general accounting services and numerous other specialized/niche services. We have a 30 year history of progressive growth as a result of our excellent client service and most of our growth is generated through client referrals.

OPPORTUNITY:

As a Tax Manager, you will be in charge of all accounting, tax and other client service matters for our clients. You will be charged with building lasting relationships with our clients and providing them with timely, high quality, value added tax expertise. You will have significant autonomy in managing your client portfolio and will enjoy hands-on opportunities that will enable you to achieve personal and professional goals.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Manage and provide leadership for individual and business tax engagements and tax planning.
• Conduct and supervise tax research, consult directly with clients and prepare correspondence dealing with very complex issues.
• Analyze client financial business situations.
• Promote and enhance goodwill between the firm and the client.
• Assume authority to supply the direction that successful group work takes and assume the responsibility that implies.
• Monitor production of engagements and review monthly client reporting.
• Motivate, train and supervise staff accountants in their professional development and evaluate their performance.
• Take a leading business development role in expanding the services our firm provides to existing clients.

IDEAL CANDIDATE QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree and CPA required with current license.
• 5+ years of public accounting tax experience.
• Solid tax research and tax planning expertise.
• Solid analytical and critical thinking skills with the ability to make decisions.
• Proficient computer skills including a working knowledge of MS Word, Excel, accounting and tax software
• (CCH, Prosystem FX, and Sureprep are a plus) is required.

Pay: $1,234.00 - $12,345.00 per hour
