Tidwell Group is seeking a Tax Manager to join our Birmingham, AL team.

Overview:

This position serves as a client-representative, a tax professional, and a technical expert able to lead and mentor our staff. You must have 5 years of progressive tax experience at a public accounting firm, and have an active CPA license to be eligible for this position. Responsibilities

• Perform tax research
• Provide tax and consulting services to the firm’s clients
• Provide timely, high quality client service that exceeds client expectations
• Develop and manage professional relationships with clients
• Prepare and review tax returns
• Identify opportunities to minimize the effective tax rate
• Oversee non-income tax compliance

Qualifications

• Certified Public Accountant highly preferred.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in Accounting or Finance
• 5+ years of professional tax experience in public accounting
• Strong communication and analytical skills
