THE ROLE: Team Lead
Job Summary:
As a Team Lead, you will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing organizational technical processes from start to finish. Technical operations manager will be responsible for maintaining the technical goals and address any future potential needs. Additional oversight for making sure that all staff is working strictly within technical guidelines of project management and operational governance. The Technical operations manager will work with various technical staff, including Network Operations Center engineers, manager services dedicated engineers, project managers, professional services engineers, and outside engineers. Since this is a leadership position, technical operations manager is responsible for delivering advice and direction to technical staff in times of uncertainty; this requires that technical operations managers to be excellent communicators and team builders.
Travel Requirements:
This role will require 15-20% travel. This is a hybrid role (remote with travel to the client as needed) and can be located in Glastonbury, CT or Woburn, MA.
Job Responsibilities:
- Create and maintain the best practice standards for technical operations
- Manage installation technicians, lead technicians, project managers and control system programmers
- Coordinate and participate in projects to design, develop, program, test, install and maintain specialized technical operations
- Demonstrate an in-depth understanding of products, functions and features
- Translate needs assessments
- Define and provide oversight for professional services implementation
- Maintain quality control through establishing and maintaining technical operations standards
- Create and maintain the best practice standards
- Manage Technical Operations
- Able to prioritize the work while multi-tasking
- Able to meet tight deadlines and follow up on commitments
- Effective verbal, written and presentation
- Flexible, accurate and excellent interpersonal skills.
- Good team leadership
Education and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and/or military experience
- 6+ years of networking experience (Cisco)
- 2+ years working for a Telecommunications focused organization preferred
- Leadership abilities
- Ability to collaborate with different teams internally and at the client
