Pay Rate: Starting at $21/hr

Major Responsibilities/Activities:

• Provide technical support via telephone and in person to distributors and customers.
• Resolve technical issues and provide ongoing assistance with machine problem diagnosis in a professional and respectful way.
• Provide on-call; sometimes after-hours assistance on a rotating basis to distributors and owners.
• Act with a sense of urgency, professionalism, and ownership with internal and external customer questions.
• Log all details of calls into a database for tracking analysis.
• Service local machines used by R&D
• Travel to customer sites to troubleshoot and resolve equipment problems.
• Train Distributor Technicians on-site and in classroom environments
• Communicate service, training, and quality issues raised by site managers and owners from the field.
• Perform the Returned Goods Authorization processes: diagnosis, warranty replacement, inspection and order entry.
• Learn the technical service requirements of new products and existing products undergoing significant change.

Education Requirements:

• High School Degree or Equivalent required; Associate’s Degree in Electro-Mechanical or Electrical Design or equivalent experience is preferred.

Experience Requirements:

• Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills are required.
• Computer proficiency in a Windows environment is required, preferably with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Access.
• Professional telephone etiquette is required.
• Must possess a valid driver’s license and must be able to travel domestically.

Physical Demands:

Position requires physical tasks to be completed, including but not limited to: climbing ladders, assembly, using hand tools and power tools, lifting and walking. Working around and with electricity and electrical components is also a required part of the position. Travel could amount to 25%, but is normally between 5-15% of the time.
