We are currently hiring a Technical Manager focused on supporting our Quality functions. In this role the candidate will be responsible for directing quality assurance function as well as analytical laboratory including battery testing capabilities.

This position is highly collaborative with all plant business unit leaders, and support functions at our Hopkinsville, KY site and corporate offices.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Coordinate and lead the day-to-day execution of each core technical function towards performance objectives and the expectations of AE customers.
• Develop, evaluate, implement, and maintain quality assurance, quality control, process control protocols pertaining to raw materials, in-process and finished goods.
• Provides guidance to the site to support implementation of customer specific requirements.
• Establish and report quality metrics, monitor and improve product and process capability to meet customer requirements and AE expectations.
• Conduct root causes analysis and troubleshooting on instrumentation. Assist in planning and improving production processes.
• Keep management informed of any critical issues, external and internal audit results and corrective actions that may impact the operations.
• Experience in AIAG Advanced Product Quality Planning, provide technical and quality expertise to support risk mitigation activities (P-FMEA, Control Plan) and completion of PPAP documentation. Manage the site certification with corporate support
• Oversees analytical laboratory activities including chemical and physical characterization. Review and approve certificate of analysis for all shipments.
• Selects, develops, and evaluates personnel for Quality and Analytical teams

Education and other requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in science or engineering with minimum 15+ years’ experience in Manufacturing (Technical and Quality Assurance) preferably in automotive environment.
• Strong working knowledge of IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Experience in implementing Quality Management System in Manufacturing.
• Experience in organization and people management skills.
• Strong communication skills.
• Travel up to 20%.
